On May 14, 2012 at 7 pm, City Council will honor former Mayor Tom Burns as Englewood’s 2012 Citizen of the Year.
Tom Burns served as Mayor of Englewood from 1994-2001, but he was active in the City long before that and remains active to this day in local and regional activities. In addition to his eight years as Mayor, he has also served on several Englewood boards and commissions and has played a leadership role as Chair of the Metro Mayors Caucus and on the Board of the Denver Regional Council of Governments.
In 2001, Mayor Burns was recognized by his counterparts across the metro area with the prestigious John V. Christensen Award, which recognizes outstanding leadership on regional issues.
We invite you to help us honor Tom Burns for his dedicated public service. The Citizen of the Year reception will take place Monday, May 14 at 7 pm at the Malley Senior Recreation Center, 3380 South Lincoln Street in Englewood.
